Description

This course in theological method trains the student in the value and purpose of doctrinal truth as found within Scripture, developed in the history of the Church and as practiced in the contemporary theological scene with particular attention to such construction within the Evangelical Believers Church tradition. The student will observe and practice collecting the Biblical data relevant to a particular theological concern, surveying the church’s historical developments related to that concern, and thinking critically about one’s argumentation and cultural embeddedness, etc. to move forward with a constructive theological proposal as to what the church ought to believe and practice.

Prerequisites: L1211, Christian Theology I / L1212, Christian Theology II
