Description
The course provides the requisite skills to prepare sermons and lessons for adolescent learners. It emphasizes guiding youth to transformation and spiritual growth given the nature of adolescent development with an emphasis on cognitive development.
The changes experienced by adolescents greatly affect their cognitive abilities as well as their social roles in society. Because of this, the approach to learning and spiritual development is shifting significantly. Some science suggests that the brain will not develop its complete adult capacity until a young person is well into their 20’s. This course will help youth leaders guide young people to spiritual transformation given the changes in adolescence. Students will develop skills for planning and presenting both sermons and interactive Bible lessons that enhance the growth of young learners.
